Local University Student Bachelor's or Master's Thesis Projects
If you are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at the TU Dresden or another local university and are interested in writing your thesis with us, we welcome your application. To apply, please follow these steps:
- Explore our Research Groups: Visit our website to learn more about the themes of our research groups and identify which one(s) interest you the most.
- Submit a Complete Application: Send your documents either via our Talent Pool or contact the working group you are interested in directly. Include a letter of motivation explaining why you are interested in the group and its projects, and indicate when you would like to complete the internship.
- Application Language: English is the working language at our institute, so please submit your application in English. This is a great opportunity to improve your language skills in an English-speaking environment.
- Duration: Internships are usually up to three months. Thesis projects are usually up to 6 months. A longer duration is possible depending on study regulations.
- Compensation: No payment is provided for local students. Students participating in the Erasmus+ program may be eligible for funding to cover living costs.
- Application Prerequisites: Enrollment in a university program (Bachelor's or Master's) and interest in the research topics of our groups.
Foreign University Student Summer Research Internships
We also offer summer research internships of up to three months for foreign university students. These internships provide an immersive experience in a cutting-edge research environment, ideal for those looking to gain international research experience.
- Duration: Up to three months.
- Compensation: A stipend (currently 992 EUR/month) can be paid for those applying to and selected by our IMPRS program. At other times, Erasmus+ funding may be available for eligible students.
- Application Prerequisites: Enrollment in a university outside of Germany and a strong interest in our research fields.
