The CSBD is an initiative of the Max Planck Society in collaboration with the Dresden University of Technology and will move into its new building by the end of 2016. It is built on the joint interdisciplinary research program between the MPI-CBG and the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems. It brings together biologists with computer scientists, physicists, and mathematicians, focused on quantitative biology with expertise in biophysics, image analysis and high-performance computing.
