MPI-CBG team spirit at Dresden running event

Seven teams from the institute participate in team challenge as part of Health Initiative

On Tuesday evening, June 6th, thirty members of the institute took part in the REWE Team Challenge Dresden, a running event and one of the largest company runs in Germany. Members from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) in the research groups of Eric Geertsma, Anthony Hyman, Rita Mateus, André Nadler, Jonathan Rodenfels, and Dora Tang alongside admin and support staff, joined forces for this thrilling event. The seven teams from the conquered the challenging 5K run by running from the Kulturpalast, past the Zwinger, along the banks of the Elbe, and finally into the Rudolf-Harbig stadium.

Participation in the team challenge was part of the Health Initiative at MPI-CBG, which is dedicated to promoting well-being among staff members. Spanning a wide range of topics, measures include health days at the institute, exercise courses, mental health seminars, or health screenings. Many activities are made possible through the Max Planck Society partnership with the Technische Krankenkasse.
