SCIENCE CAFÉ: Bionics - Mimicking nature
GrooveStation Dresden (Katharinenstr, 11-13)

Velcro, aircraft wings, self-cleaning paints and roof tiles - many inventions and innovations have been inspired by methods and systems found in nature. Bionics is the approach to copy and use biological methods for engineering and design. Are we as good as the inventor evolution? Why would you study sponges and shells? What are the limits of bionics?

Discuss with:
- Prof. Christoph Neinhuis, TU Dresden
- Dr. Igor Zlotnikov, BCUBE

The Science Café Dresden offers casual one-on-one discussions with experts over a beer or coffee - you can ask your questions and join the discussion!
