Topping-out ceremony at the new Center for Systems Biology Dresden

The topping-out ceremony for the Center for Systems Biology Dresden ‪(CSBD‬) took place on 15 December 2015 to mark the finishing of the building shell of the new center.

The celebration featured greetings by Dirk Hilbert, Mayor of the City of Dresden, Prof. Gene Myers, the CSBD director, the architect Janne Kentala (Heikkinenen-Komonen Oy), Heike Kiko of the building department of the Max Planck Society, and the construction manager Maik Kiesewetter.

The building is planned to be finished by the end of 2016. It will bring together computer scientists, physicists, and mathematicians, focused on quantitative biology with expertise in biophysics, image analysis and high-performance computing.
