The European Research Council (ERC) announced the awarding of 314 Consolidator Grants to ambitious researchers in Europe. They will receive a total of 605 million Euros. Simon Alberti, Research Group Leader at the MPI-CBG, receives an ERC Consolidator Grant for his project "The chemistry and physics of RNP granules:
how they form, age and cause disease.” Congratulations!
In total, out of the 314 grants, six went to researchers of the Max Planck Society. The funding gives researchers full freedom and flexibility to contribute to major advances in science.
