The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) awards for 2017 have been announced – with a successful application of Simon Alberti, Research Group Leader at the MPI-CBG.
Simon Alberti has been awarded one of the highly prestigious and competitive HFSP Program Grant Awards. These grants are awarded for novel collaborations among highly interdisciplinary teams of scientists working in different countries and provide three years support with up to 450,000 USD per year. Simon Alberti will share his award with Stephen W. Michnick (University of Montreal) and Rohit V. Pappu (Center for Biological Systems Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis). Their joint project aims to elucidate the molecular logic of membrane-free compartment function and assembly.

Its aims are to promote intercontinental collaboration and training for people from postdoc to mature group leaders in cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research focused on the life sciences.
