To stay in touch with alumni, the institute set up an alumni network in 2021 on the LinkedIn platform. The "MPI-CBG Alumni Network" is open to current and former staff members of the MPI-CBG. The purpose of this group is to exchange experiences and know-how and to share professional and career-related information. Many MPI-CBG alumni came to the 15th anniversary of the institute in 2016 in the form of a two-day scientific symposium.
Some of our alumni research group leaders have become professors at Dresden. To strengthen their ties to the MPI-CBG, a MPI-CBG Fellows program has been implemented. The fellows can be given a small budget and will be invited to research group leader meetings and faculty retreats for a period of three years.
