Ziffer, Zelle, Zebrafisch

Science Night at MPI-CBG

The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) invites you to spend an exciting night at the institute during the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften: Scientists will show and explain what they do. You can see monster worms, fluorescent flies, or learn how to extract DNA using everyday kitchenware.

Two actors and a scientist try to find out why scientists do what they do - and how cells can become a complex organism. The play "Ziffer, Zelle, Zebrafisch" is a staged experiment for curious people from 8 that involves the audience.

Or want to do experiments like a real scientists? With gloves and lab coat? No prob! We have all you need in the huge Kids Area.

We also offer talks: Prof. Wieland Huttner will talk about brain evolution and neural stem cells (7pm), Xavier Prudent will offer a crash course in evolution at 10pm.

Be our guests on 5 July 2013. Discover, explore, try and learn from 6pm to 1am.

There's snacks and drinks in the MPI-CBG Cafeteria.
