Having received the "Career and Family Certificate" of the Hertie Foundation in 2006 and 2009, the Max Planck Society (MPG) is once again the recipient of this award this year.
The commitment includes improved training for leaders to make sure they are aware of career-family-issues in staff appraisals. Also, new forms of including more homeoffice work will be discussed.
The audit "berufundfamilie" certificate is issued to 371 companies and organisations. It is under the patronage of the German Federal Minister of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, and the Federal Economicsand Employment Minister.
