MPG Resource Navigator is a web application to navigate through scientific information resources available to staff and guests of the Max Planck Society.

It includes licensed databases, digital collections, and reference works. In addition, recommandable retrieval tools available on the web free of charge are part of the collection. Moreover, almost all Max Planck Institute library catalogs, as well as selected external ones, are accessible from here.

MPI Digital Library (Virtual Library)

The vLibrary is a portal to scientific information resources available to staff and guests of the Max Planck Society. It presently includes nearly ass Max Planck Library catalogs and licensed reference databases as well as numerous external catalogs, databases, reference works, e-print server, ect. All users from inside the institute are automatically logged in as guest when entering the vLib portal. Users may fill out the online application form in order to obtain their personal user ID and password.

eDocThe eDoc server provides a unique entry point to the accumulated research output of the Max Planck Society. Institutes of the Max Planck Society are invited by the president to use the eDoc -Server to collect their scientific documents in digital form, manage their publication data and to increase the visibility of their digital collections. Via eDoc, scientists can make their work openly accessible online with the technological and institutional backing of the Max Planck Society.
MPG.PuREThis is the new publication repository of the Max Planck Society. It contains bibliographic data and numerous fulltexts of the publications of its researchers. IVS-BMThe Information Service of MPS is a team of scientists and information specialists dedicated towards helping scientists, information professionals and policy-makers throughout the Max Planck Society (MPS) to access, search, analyze, and manage the ever-increasing amount of published scientific information--the essential basis for responsible research and evidence-based decisions.
IVS-CPTThe Central Information Service for the institutes of the CPT division of the Max Planck Society is situated at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart but is available for all scientists within the Society. The information service should be contacted, if searches in the available end user databases are not sufficient. The service has access to many external commercial databases (such as Chemical Abstracts or patent files) not included in the range of end user databases. The search system of STN International enables more sophisticated searches regarding compounds, reactions, spectra, numerical data, and subject overviews. Citation analysis beyond the possibilities of the Web of Science (WoS) and help concerning research evaluation by citations is offered. Furthermore, service is available in all demands of scientific information.
