Our Genome engineering facility is looking to recruit a
Specialist in Genome Engineering (scientist with a PhD level degree, m/f).
We are looking for a specialist with hands on experience with genome engineering in at least one of the following model systems: mouse, human or mouse cell culture, C. elegans, Drosophila or Zebrafish. Additional experience with any type of recombinational cloning will be an advantage. We are looking for a driven and experienced scientist with excellent organisation and communication skills. You will provide support to the users of the facility for a broad range of model systems and genome engineering projects, including protein tagging, targeted mutagenesis, gDNA transgenics, etc. The responsibilities will include:
1. The design and execution of genome engineering projects for users of the facility
2. The implementation and optimisation of genome engineering techniques and protocols
3. Project management, preparation of project reports
4. Documentation of genetic engineering according to German law
5. Quality and safety control
