Our Genome engineering facility is looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher in Genome Engineering (m/f).


The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany, is a highly visible and international research institute focused on cell and developmental biology. Currently about 500 employees are working at the institute, where half are from abroad with 53 nations represented. MPI-CBG has twice been awarded the title “Best Place to Work” (Academia and postdocs) by the journal “The Scientist”. MPI-CBG lead the list of the top ten research institutions outside the United States shortly after its opening, and is the only German institution listed.

The group of Mihail Sarov at MPI-CBG is looking to recruit a

Postdoctoral Researcher in Genome Engineering (m/f)

to develop high-throughput genome editing pipelines for protein tagging and gene knockouts in human induced pluripotent cells.

We are looking to recruit a highly qualified, technically oriented experimental scientist with a background in genomics, systems biology or engineering. Prior experience with advanced cell culture and genome engineering in mammalian model systems will be a strong advantage for this position.

The position is full-time, available immediately and is offered initially for one year with possibility for extension. We especially encourage women to apply.
