Long-range cell communication and tissue organization in the developing wing of Drosophila
The broad interest of my lab is to understand the cell biological mechanisms that organize global patterns in developing tissues.
We are focused on two aspects of drosophila wing development: 1) the role of membrane trafficking in shaping of morphogen gradients in the larval wing disc, and 2) mechanisms of junction remodeling and tissue polarization during pupal morphogenesis.
