Information about databases available for free, through the MPI-CBG or through the Max Planck Society.

The Max Planck Virtual Library (vLib) is a portal to scientific information recources available to staff and guests of the Max Planck Society. It presently includes nearly all Max Planck library catalogs and licensed reference databases as well as numerous external catalogs, databases, reference works, e-print servers, etc.

All users from inside the institute are automatically logged in as guest when entering the vLib portal. Users may fill out the online application form in order to obtain their personal user ID and password.

Max Planck Citation Linker

The Citation Linker will point you to specific MPG/SFX Services that are available for the reference you have indicated, including links to the full text or to relevant database entries.
