The FACS Facility provides instrumentation, education and expertise for all your flow cytometry needs.

Service:

1. Analysis:

  • Cell cycle analysis
  • Apoptosis
  • Expression of surface and intracellular proteins

2. Cell sorting:

  • Sorting of cell populations into phenotypic, biochemical and molecular subsets
  • Single cell sorting into 96 well plates

The Flow Cytometry Service offers both multiparameter analysis and sorting of cell populations into phenotypic, biochemical and molecular subsets based on the measurement of antibody tagged fluorescent probes bound to cell surface and/or intracellular proteins.

Facility:

  • User training for the two analyser instruments
  • Expertise to aid users with experimental design and protocol development

Equipment:

  • FacsScan, cell analyzer, Beckton Dickinson, 488 nm-laser
  • FacsARIA, cell sorter, Beckton Dickinson, 3 laser lines (405, 488 and 633 nm); simultaneous, independent, sterile sorting of up to 4 cell lines, equipped for multiwell-plates (24, 48, 96 and 384 wells)
  • FACS Calibur, cell analyzer, Beckton Dickinson, 2 laser lines (488 and 633 nm), equipped for multiwell-plates (96 and 384 wells)
