Ready to take the next step?

If so, mark this date on your calendars:

10 and 11th of October (2011)

What will happen then? The new improved edition of the MPI-CBG career symposium organized by the Dresden International PhD program (DIPP) which is a joint initiative of the IMPRS-MCBB and the DIGS-BB, the MPI-CBG Postdoctoral Program and the CRTD. This event is now a regular feature of the PhD program and everyone that is part of the Biopolis Dresden.

What's new?

For the first time in recorded History we will have a professional career adviser on board to answer to everything you ever wanted to know about career progression and were afraid to ask. She will give a talk and then be available for one on one personalized discussions with those interested* and workshops focused on job hunting.

But the surprises do not end there: also a first, there will be stalls from diverse companies always on the look out for fresh brains.

The best element of the previous career symposia remains unchanged: a list of excellent speakers with diverse scientific backgrounds that eventually strayed from the beaten track.

And due to popular demand the focused workshops on grant writing, Postdoc finding and Group leader position hunting will have a second edition (11th October). We have also listened to the feedback from last year participants there will be a few changes to make these workshops even more informative. More information will follow soon.

Stay tuned!

*due to time constraints there will a number of slots available on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.
