LibraryPubMedAccessing PubMed via this special URL will allow users from Max Planck Society to take advantage of MPG-SFX Services to locate the full-text (electronic or print) or other relevant resources. Databases licensed by Max Planck SocietyThe Information Retrieval Services of the Max Planck Society provide access to numerous reference databases for MPS staff. Since these recources have been licensed by the MPS, they will often be inaccessible from outside the Max Planck Institute. If you need assisitance, please contact your library or IVS-BM. A selection of high-quality databases such as Current Contents, BIOSIS, Medline, INSPEC under a particulary powerful but easy to use search interface. Fulltext links are available via Library holdings link or MPG-SFX Services link. Support is provided by IVS-BM Provides access to several unique databases such as the Science Citation Index ("Web of Science" and the Journal Citation Report (including Journal Impact Factors) via specially adapted search interfaces. Over 40 field-specific databases and selected web-recources, covering natural sciences, social sciences, technology and the humanities via an advanced search interface. Support is provided by the IVS-CPT. Provides direct access to Chemical Abstracts, Registry, ChemCat, and other databases for searching chemical structures, literature and patents. SciFinder is also of particular value for molecular biologists as it includes >50 million biosequences (+BLAST). SciFinder is a Client Server Application with Clients for MS Windows and MacOS8.x There is no access via Web-Browsers. You need personal login and password. Support is provided by the IVS-CPT. The BEILSTEIN database covers more than 10 Mio. ORGANIC compounds with more than 320 mio. facts and more than 10 Mio. reactions, including detailed information out of ecotoxicology and pharmacological area. The database indexed literature from 175 journals in total. Please note: Polymers are not included in BEILSTEIN. The GMELIN database covers more than 2,2 Mio. INORGANIC compounds with more than 1,6 Mio. reactions compiled from 62 journals. The compound properties are tabulated in about 800 chemical and physical data fields, including electric , magnetic, thermal, crystal, and physiological data. You have access to BEISTEIN and GMELIN via Crossfire. Crossfire is a Client-Server Application for MS Windows and MacOS9, which you have to download to your computer. Download instructions you can find here. Dissertation & Thesis (Proquest) The ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database (PQDT) is the world's most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses. It is the database of record for graduate research, with over 2.4 million dissertations and theses included from around the world. In addition, nearly one million dissertations and thesis are available for download in PDF format (Digital dissertations and theses are archived as submitted by the degree-granting institution. Some will be Native PDF, some PDF Image). The complete spectrum of legal information (Federal Republic of Germany) is available by juris Web: Jurisprudence, press releases, literature/facts, laws and executive order laws, the German Federal Gazette (Bundesanzeiger), and administrative instructions.
