Thomas Müller-Reichert received Summer Research Fellowship from MBL

Thomas Müller-Reichert, leader of the EM Technology Group at MPI-CBG, was recently awarded a prestigious Herbert W. Rand Fellowship and a Laura and Arthur Colwin Endowed Summer Research Fellowship from the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), an internationally renowned biomedical and environmental research center.

At the MBL, Müller-Reichert used light and electron microscopy to study spindle organization of dividing C. elegans embryos and in HeLa cells. The latter project is a collaboration with Daniel Gerlich, an assistant professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich.

The Herbert W. Rand Fellowship provides funds to bring a distinguished investigator, ideally from outside of the United States, to do research at the MBL for a summer. The Laura and Arthur Colwin Endowed Summer Research Fellowship Fund provides summer research support at the MBL for independent investigators in the fields of cell and developmental biology.
