Successful Dresden Science Night 2011

The Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften was another great success in 2011: More than 1,700 people visited the MPI-CBG from 18:00-1:00 to see what we do. They did some pipetting trying to beat pipetting robots, observed worms, planarians, and fruit flies, or learned more about molecular motors, transgenic mice, or electron microscopy. >>photo gallery

198 tried their luck at guessing the number of flies in a huge test tube. Guesses ranged from 7 to 98,755,410. The exact number, however, was 12,736 flies. Christian Much from Dresden is the winner of a Dresden Card - congratulations!

A big thank-you to everybody who supported Dresden Science Night 2011 and helped to offer the public a great night!

The next Dresden Science Night will be on July 6, 2012. See you!
