We would like to invite you to join the art opening of the MPI-CBG Art Prize winner 2010.

Hyun Mo Koo: Monster

Hyun Mo Koo, recent awardee of the MPI-CBG Art Prize, will present his work „Monster“: Dancing spiders and cancer cells.

The MPI-CBG Art Prize is a co-operation with the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (HfBK Dresden) and does not merely honour a completed static artistic work; on the contrary, it does indeed initiate a dynamic process. With the Art Prize, art becomes a product of confrontation with scientific work - in theory and by participation in the scientific routine. The artist will thus participate in both arenas of visualization by taking part in research performed at the Institute and conceiving a piece of art as the end product of this exploration.

The installation will be presented to the public on November 19, 2010 at 18:00.

There will be a short introduction by Prof. Eberhard Bosslet (Dresden Academy of Fine Arts).
Also, we will offer drinks and little snacks.

Everybody is very welcome!
