Postdoctoral Fellowships

Postdoctoral Fellowships are available at the recently launched Indo-German Max Planck - NCBS Centre in the field of Lipid Research. The Centre will perform a systematic analysis of the lipidome in a set of genetic model organisms. The ultimate goal is the functional investigation of lipids in association with metabolic/genetic diseases. The Centre aims to delineate the genetic basis of metabolic pathways by a combination of systematic gene disruption and a complementary approach to identify lipids that account for phenotypes induced by the depletion of a particular gene. The research will be performed in laboratories of Teymuras Kurzchalia, Satyajit Mayor, Andrej Shevchenko and Dominik Schwudke. 

Candidates must have a recent PhD in molecular biology and/or cell biology and/or biochemistry with a record of creativity and scientific productivity. Skills in mass spectrometry would be of an immense advantage.
