The mission of the International Office is to provide information and assistance to our expatriate staff. We help them to feel at home in Dresden and handle the wheels of bureaucracy, allowing them to concentrate on research issues and to fall in love with our beautiful city.

General Information

A good start is the Visiting Scientist Guide published by the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft.

This brochure offers help to non-German staff members to settle down and feel at home in Germany, and to handle the daily business of living and working here.

Saxony promotes the immigration of qualified professionals by simplifying the procedure to obtain a residence and work permit from Non-EU states with the AKZESS program.
